FULL GRAIN

Full Grain: This is a durable genuine leather that is considered the highest quality and most premium. It is taken from the outermost layer of animal skin and has very limited surface treatment so that they retain the grain, grain… as well as the most natural features of the skin, and are durable over time.

In terms of the leather tanning industry, it means that the skin under the fur layer, and the surface are kept in their original state, uncut, untreated, and unedited. The natural features are retained as intact as possible. Therefore, Full Grain leather is often thicker than other leather lines. And here we can easily identify and find the original, inherent scars of the animal during its growth process; these are scars, insect bites, uneven spots on the skin surface, and no skin is the same. This feature is clearly shown in both ANILINE and SEMI – ANILINE lines.

Aniline: Is the name of a dye and the nature of aniline dyeing is penetrating dyeing, all leather lines when tanned with Full – Aniline dye do not use any chemicals to cover the front and back surfaces of the leather, they have similar colors and when the leather is split, there is no different colored core in the middle, because the color has penetrated through the leather layer.

Full – Aniline: This is a chemical line with a fairly high price in the leather tanning industry. And when producing Aniline leather, it requires quite strictness in the selection of input materials as well as in terms of time.
With Aniline leather, the surface is not covered by any coating or protective layer. It is completely natural and original. Only Aniline dye creates the color of the leather.

Semi – Aniline: The nature of Semi – Aniline dyeing is similar to Full – Aniline, the only difference is that the tannery will add some other chemical ingredients to the dyeing process, and its surface is covered by a protective layer, so the absorption of environmental factors is slower than Full Aniline leather.

CORRECTED GRAIN

Corrected Grain: Semantically explained, it means the grains and veins are processed.

In terms of the leather industry, it means the type of leather under the fur layer, and the surface is processed and edited according to the requirements and wishes of the user (can be embossed, create patterns on the surface or cover the color or shave to remove, or cover the natural defects of the leather, to create a perfect and as blemish-free leather surface as possible. Therefore, Corrected Grain leather is often thinner than Full Grain leather, and the choice of materials for this leather line is quite easy and gentle, so their price is much cheaper than Full Grain.

Nubuck: Is a type of leather that has been sanded or lightly buffed on the outer surface to create short protein fibers on the surface, creating a velvety feel to the touch. Sometimes people confuse Nubuck leather with Suede leather (Suede = second layer leather), but it is not at all. Nubuck leather is created from the first layer of animal skin, giving the leather durability and firmness, high elasticity. Suede leather is created from the second layer of animal skin, with a loose and less durable connection, easy to tear.
